TREE ENERGY GROUNDING

SIMPLE SKILLS TO SUPPORT YOUR WELLBEING

Grounding is the practice of connecting with the Earth's energy streams to balance and restore our own energy system. It's based on the idea the Earth holds an abundant source of electrons that can neutralise free radicals and reduce inflammation in the body.

In our fast-paced modern world, many of us spend the majority of our time indoors, disconnected from nature. This lack of connection can lead to feelings of disorientation, stress, and fatigue. Being ‘ungrounded’ profoundly effects how we relate to others and adversely effects our digestive system.

By grounding ourselves, we can experience numerous health benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep quality, increased energy levels, and enhanced overall well-being. Many people also report feeling more centered, focused, and present after practicing grounding techniques regularly.

This is backed up by the feedback over the past five years from my Tree Energy sessions. In 2024 this led me to create Grounding workshops in woodland for groups of up to 12 people.

My VortexHealing® training gives me the ability to repair your Grounding Cord during the workshop. This is your energetic cord linking you to the centre of the Earth and in most people it is either broken or damaged. Once it is restored you will have the ability deeply and profoundly ground your energy system as you did when you were a child.

Exploring grounding in the human energy system offers a holistic approach to health and wellness, acknowledging the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Incorporating grounding practices into our daily routine can be a simple yet powerful way to support our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

I encourage you to explore grounding techniques and experience the benefits for yourself at one of my workshops. Here you will learn how to create your own regular grounding practice.

Basic Tree Energy Medicine

Go into a quiet place in your local woodlands and open your senses.

Start with mindful walking in silence with no disruption (switch your phone off/do not disturb).

Use your peripheral vision as this gently alters the your background state of mind. Observe the colours, textures and shapes of nature. Notice how the light interplays with the trees, plants and the ground.

Stop and breathe. Now breathe more deeply for a few minutes. How do you feel? Is your sense of smell switched on? The forest is full of healing aromas and air borne essential oils and your body will respond as you consciously breath in these gifts from nature’s medicine cabinet.

Check in with your inner state. How are you feeling now compared to when you started this healing woodland walk?

Now it’s time to embody nature. Look for a tree that ‘speaks’ to you. Notice if you are drawn towards a particular tree. Stand still facing this tree and consciously open your heart and body to this new friend. Really relax and notice if you are holding any tension which you can release. Have a body shake to help you drop your default position of holding on.

Reach out your hands in greeting towards your tree and sense if there is a response - often there is a tingling feeling in your hands and fingers. Feel the tree pull your heart in towards it as it embraces you.

Now you can gently touch the tree and lean into it. Remain open-hearted and you will discover a beautiful connection.

Take your awareness into your spine and sense if there is an activity there? By leaning your back against the tree you may feel it merging with you and absorbing your energy.

Stay present and enjoy this immersive experience. The deeper you meditate the more profound this experience will become. You can ask now for healing from the tree. This can be physical, mental or spiritual.

It can be helpful to enhance this experience by connecting to the deep intelligence of the Earth. Say the mantra ‘Gaia’ in your head to help you find and connect to Mother Earth. By doing this your Tree Energy Medicine takes on a spiritual quality.

Take your time and stay as long as you feel you need.

Before you return to ‘ordinary reality’ check in with your inner world once more and notice how you feel now?

Knowing that you can come back to this Grounded and connected place is deeply nurturing and nourishing for your energy system and state of mind.

Remember you belong in nature and Mother Earth is a source of unconditional love for you.
